Sadly not - I'd give anything to be getting up tomorrow and taking the tube to Waterloo instead of alighting at St John's Wood and checking into the Wellington. As I think I have may have mentioned it looks to be a five star hospital - if there is such a thing. If only I were going to be able to appreciate the fine food and wine and Molton Browne toiletries!
But there is a sense now that this is inevitable and I just need to get it over and out of the way so that "my back" ceases to be the centre of my life - so to speak. I can feel another blog post coming on there so will leave this one for now and get ready to head off. We're briefing another group of Platform2 volunteers today - just think, when they get back from volunteering in India, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Nepal and Peru I will indeed be back at work and two inches taller. I know how the time flies between their "Connect" days and "Express" so here's to the time flying for me here too!
Thanks for all the comments by the way - keep them coming as love to know you are there!
Linda can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling. I hope everthing goes well. We will be thinking of you and wishing you well and looking in for updates from Dave. Take care xx
